Textbook ride by Manning secures victory for Bolger's colt
Well-backed Ebeneezer Perry does the business
He's a horse that we've always liked. We took our time with him and backed off him last year. We'll take baby steps with him now, go for a winners race and let him improve for experience. He fought back well there, showed good resolution, and beat a well rated horse beside him. They pulled clear and it's everything you'd want to see out of a horse that you like.
First winner on the Flat for James Dullea
That was great. The owner (Alfred Sweetnam) kindly sent her to us, she was a nice filly from the word go and her first run was a very good run. We have her a few months and she's done everything right. I thought Seamie gave her a great ride. Hopefully there is more to come from her, it's her first run in a while so she might improve and go on again. We'll see what way she comes out of it and what the handicapper has to say about it. That's my first Flat winner. I'm seven or eight years coming up here with jumpers and if I kissed them they wouldn't win around here! That's our first Flat runner here and it wins.
Harbanaker off the mark for Cromwell and Carroll
Moyglare-bred filly proving a bargain buy for the Slatterys
She's a nice filly and the race suited but I didn't know what she'd be like over a mile-and-a-quarter because she shows a good bit of pace. The aim is a premier handicap along the way. I'd hope to get her in at the bottom in the mile race at Galway but we're a long way off that yet. If we get 10lb we're still only 85. We'll go somewhere in three or four weeks time, feel our way and see what the handicapper does. She likes a bit of juice in the ground and the bit of rain that fell this morning was a help. She's two from two for us now so she doesn't owe us anything. She has a good pedigree as her grandmother is Dress To Thrill.

Nash lauds Mikey Sheehy for ride on Little Brother
It was a perfect ride and not just because he won. I said to the lads turning in no matter where he finished he was after giving him a peach of a ride throughout. He's a tricky horse, we fancied him a couple of days and he disappointed. Maybe the hurdling is after making a man of him, he won at Ballinrobe and was placed a couple of times. The ground was soft in Gowran when we ran him back first time and then we went to Limerick and I thought he'd run well in a hurdle but the ground was over watered and it was too soft as well. He obviously likes real good ground and I hope we get a chance over jumps during the summer for horses like him, that genuinely want good ground. We'll mix it with him. That was an incredible ride by Mikey today.
No Say Ever wins Breast Cancer Ireland Handicap
He's a lovely horse, he's hard work but he's worth it. I think he's one of the few No Nay Nevers that actually stays. Nikita rides him out a bit at home so she knew he can be slightly cracked and you just ignore it. Once he races he's very genuine. Fingers crossed he comes out alright and we'll pick another race for him. We did try to hurdle him but he just wasn't settled enough. There are plenty of years left, he's only five now, so I don't see the point in rushing him and blowing his brains or having an accident. I'll keep him on the Flat and if he progresses from here I'll give him the winter off. As a six or seven-year-old we could look at jumping. He jumps no problem but just needs to keep a lid on life. He's brilliant. He has a companion horse and won't go in his stable but he's grand.
