Odds-on Boy beats well-backed Vision
He was due that and likes that ground. He's a handy, smallish horse but he did the job. I'll look for a winners' of one next. He owners Noreen O'Higgins is from Newcastle, Co Down and Patrick Clune from Ennis and they're great owners who have been with me for a long time now.
Liclash a facile winner under Shortall for Ryan
I was a bit worried about the ground - he won on goodish ground but today's ground is more extreme. He'll go for something similar next and I'll keep him to hurdling for another run or two. He's a fine animal and I'm looking forward to fences with him as he's a super leaper. He is owned by William Fitzgerald, from Limerick who owns a skip-hire business.
Dempseys on the mark with Routes Choice
She had a nice run the last day when she came home well and the extra trip suited today. The ground is testing enough and she'll be a nice mare to go chasing next year. I'll keep her to mares' company and we'll go for a winners' of one in a month's time.
Notwhatiam makes all on first start for Rath
He was having his first run for me and I've only had him two months and I fancied him today. He's hardy and real tough and I might look for a handicap next.
Edvardo justifies favouritism under Flanagan
He was weak and immature last year and is still raw enough. He'll be fine in time though and we'll see how he is after this. He was too keen in Thurles the last day when the race was too soon for him but we'll give him a little break between runs now. I'll look for something similar next.
