Hoban swoops in the first
I'm delighted with that. A lot of credit has to go to Conor as that wasn't the plan. The plan was to be up there with the pace. Conor said the pace was very fast in the race so he allowed her to settle and she flew home. She's in the sales next week (Goffs). If she wasn't at the sales she would be coming back to race over six furlongs as she has plenty of pace and won with a bit in hand.
Miracle is the Cure for punters
If Per Chance wins a thriller
He has been running some lovely races. At least he was drawn wide today and got a run at them as he has been getting boxed in on the inside. I'm glad his turn came as he has been a victim of his own success. He's so so genuine. He's in the sales on Thursday and hopefully someone will buy him and send him back to us. Shane gave him a great ride. He's a very strong rider. He has had the sun on his back in Dubai and it has done him the power of good.
Second turn for Spin Of A Coin
he did it well enough and got the trip. He has an awful habit of going left so I told Sam (James) that . it's a bit like telling someone a dog bits but he'll still bite!. Myself and Ger Lyons both liked him at the Sales (November 2009 at Tattersalls) but I was the one who had to wait two years for him to win!
Maiden win for Johnny
Dubai was frustrating . it was hard to get a winner out there but it's good to be back!. I thought I was clear in front but Johnnys Legacy wasn't doing a stroke when in the lead. He'll get further and will jump a hurdle on fast ground.
Houdini performs 33/1 trick
Scout scores for Doyle
Wayne (Lordan) said he stays really well and that an even stronger gallop will suit him better. He'll make a nice horse over hurdle for the summer.
Rocky II at Dundalk
Rocky's Pride came out of the race so well last week that we let him take his chance today. He is enjoying his racing and it has suited him to be in front as he doesn't like to be knocked about. Hopefully there is another day in him and it's good to win for his owner Gerard Clarke, who is a good supporter of mine. In fact I think his last three runners have all been winners!
