The Stewards noted that Wavering Down (IRE), placed seventh, was badly hampered by the fall of Ambion Hill (IRE), at the second fence.
It was noted that in between the final 2 fences, Michael Nolan the rider of Morfee (IRE), placed second, knocked the whip out of the hand of Jonathon Burke, the rider of Jobesgreen Lad (GB), placed fourth.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was considered to be accidental.
The performance of Carry On The Magic (IRE), which pulled up, was considered.
The trainer's representative could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Carry On The Magic (IRE), failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Legend Of Zorro (IRE), which was pulled up, had bled from the nose.
