I was congratulating Pat Martin (trainer of Reckless Lad) as I thought we were chinned and his horse had got the record,. He just hit the line the right way. He deserved to get it because he's been running very consistently. It was great for the boys. Stephen (Thorne), that works for me, set up Shamrock Thoroughbreds and it's great to get a win with him. He's a real fun horse. The boys are getting a great bit of fun and he's making a few quid all the time as well. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Amlad, trained by Andrew McNamara, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race

Andrew McNamara, trainer of Amlad, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was found to have an exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage on endoscopic examination.

For three yrs old and upwards that, at entry, are rated 70 or less also open to horses rated 71-80
Weights - 3-y-o 9st; 4-y-o and up 9st 1lb
Penalties - Performances before 13th December for every 1lb above the rating of 70 1lb extra; On or after 13th December for every race won 5lb extra; Horses that have not run three times and/or do not have a published handicap rating are eligible to enter and run at the discretion of the handicapper.
Riders - Open to apprentices who are apprenticed to Trainers in Ireland only.
