Meade & Blackmore combine to win Punchestown's opener
watching it I was a bit disappointed as I thought he’d travel through the race a bit better. Rachael thought she’d have won (when the other horse fell at the last). I was a bit disappointed when he got to the front how lairy he was from there to the line when he was left on his own. I do think he’s a very nice horse and he might even be better over further, although he did show us plenty of boot last year. He did stay well in those bumpers we ran him in. He has jumped very well at home and didn’t jump as well there but I’m sure he will come on for the run.

Punchestown course-specialist Conron wins again
e’s a course specialist and loves it here. He won his maiden hurdle here, he’s been second at the Festival and he won on this day last year. He’ll probably go to the November meeting now at Cheltenham at around that trip. He needs a galloping track and couldn’t cope with Listowel (last time).

Blackmore avoids the trouble for Punchestown double
obviously it was made a bit easier but he jumped great and it’s lovely to win a Grade 3. He’s done really well and deserved to win one. He came up against Wicklow Brave a couple of times, and hopefully he’ll keep progressing over fences.

Harrington's Jett wins Grade 3 feature
he’s a funny horse; he loves small fields, loves that ground and finally the trainer has got him over the right distance (3m1f). That’s the best round of jumping he’s ever put in because he wasn’t under pressure and I think he’s got a bit stronger this summer. He’s not a horse to run in handicaps so we’ll look at Grade 2 and Grade 3 chases over three miles. He’ll have to go to England now and maybe he could go to Wetherby (for the Charlie Hall).

Primary school teacher rides chase winner at Punchestown
he’s been running consistent, jumps brilliant and it’s a great family occasion. He’s ground dependent and that’s four he’s won and been placed a few times.

Gigginstown completes Punchestown treble in bumper finale
he’s a nice horse and he could go for another bumper. It was a bit of a messy race and he’s really a staying chaser.
