Voler gets campaign off to cracking start
We're delighted to get that out of the way. She came here a little bit under-cooked and she should improve an awful lot from it. The Morgiana (Hurdle at Punchestown) is the obvious place to go now but we won't be getting too carried away yet. We won't go travelling with her until after Christmas. She settled like a lamb and the ear-plugs (1st time wearing them) worked wonders. She went around the parade-ring here last year like a scalded cat and had her race run then. She was a filly last year but she is a mare this year . there is no comparison.
Green eventually gets the Gold
It's nice to get a winner. I put him in again at Mallow (Cork, the racinghomeforeaster.com Handicap Hurdle) on Sunday before Noel (O'Brien, the handicapper) gets his hands on him because he will!.
Duers wins for 8th time with quick reappearance
We thought his chance was compromised a bit on Sunday (trouble in running when 4th in the Munster National). He is a great jumper though and he is not a bad horse when he's right. He suffers from chronic asthma and has to be nebulised every day of his life. Hopefully the ground will stay in his favour for another while. He still has a good mark over hurdles and he was second to that good horse, Thousand Stars at Naas. He is progressive, he got a 1Ib for last Sunday and he'll likely get another six or seven for today. We had the best driver (Ruby Walsh) today and people like us don't always manage to get him. He gave the horse confidence all the way.

Victoria another for Bowe & Bon
She is a three parts sister to Our Vic and she'll go three mile hurdling now. She has won two point-to-points and she is a nice mare to look forward to.
Muirhead just good enough on chasing bow
He jumped brilliant and that's what the whole thing is about. He got a bit tired and I'd suppose you'd have expected him to win easier. I didn't want to wind him up but at the same time I wanted to get him out before the heavy ground. I think what he wants is a real good gallop and a stamina test. I'd say three miles would be alright though not on heavy ground. He is not a big horse but he schooled well from the start. He'll go for a winners race now in a few weeks time.
