Permission was given for Precision Storm (GB) to wear a red hood in the preliminaries.
Entering the home straight, Precision Storm (GB), placed second, hung right-handed off the bend despite the riders best efforts, carrying the winner Khatm (GB), notably off its intended line and also causing interference to Oslo (GB), placed third, which itself was lugging left-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Precision Storm (GB).
