The Stewards enquired into an incident soon after the start involving Bulldoze, ridden by Ms L. O'Neill, unplaced, Fiston De Becon (FR), ridden by Mr D. O'Connor, unplaced, Champagne Diva, ridden by Mr M.J. O'Hare, unplaced and Papal Pearl, ridden by Mr L.J. McGuinness, placed third, where it appeared that Champagne Diva was hampered and collided with the rails. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the incident was caused by general bunching and took no further action
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Son Of Camas (FR), trained by Nicky Henderson (in GB), at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be clinically abnormal post race
The Stewards interviewed Miss M. O'Sullivan, rider of Nathaniel's Dream (GB), concerning her use of the whip in the latter stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss M. O'Sullivan was in breach of R10(3)(g) by using her whip with excessive frequency. Having taken her previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended Miss M. O'Sullivan for 2 racedays.
