The Stewards noted that Mot A Mot (FR), which was pulled up, ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies, made a bad mistake jumping the first fence causing Twiston-Davies to lose his right iron.
At the second fence Longshanks (IRE), which was pulled up, jumped sharply left-handed causing Bill Baxter (IRE), unplaced, to jump left-handed and give Mot A Mot (FR) a bump.
Jumping the third fence Latitude (IRE), placed third, jumped left-handed giving Mot A Mot (FR) a severe bump.
But after viewing the recording of the incidents, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Latitude (IRE).
Following the race, Michael Nolan reported that Longshanks (IRE), which was pulled up, hung left- handed and Sam Twiston-Davies reported that Mot A Mot (FR), which was pulled up, made a bad mistake jumping the first fence and was then hampered over the next 2.
