Permission was given for Global Prospector (USA) to go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference from approaching the final furlong involving the winner, Autumn Flight (IRE), ridden by Ray Dawson, Canford Bay (IRE), placed second, ridden by Cam Hardie, and Global Prospector (USA), placed third, ridden by Darragh Keenan.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Autumn Flight (IRE)’s placing as the gelding always appeared to be holding Canford Bay (IRE) and Global Prospector (USA), who both appeared to lose little momentum as a result of the interference with a neck and 1 ¼ lengths between all three runners at the line respectively.
Dawson was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without timely or sufficient correction, resulting in both Canford Bay (IRE) and Global Prospector (USA) being carried off their intended lines for a sustained period, which lead to Keenan having to take a check off the heels of Autumn Flight (IRE) when approaching the line.
