Walsh forces Inspector into action
From what I saw of that in the car-park it was ride of the week. I think I counted about six behind him at the fourth last. He has been just too free coming off the flat in England. We had to try and get him to settle. He is learning to jump and settle. He is not a winter horse, he is a better ground horse really. We put a tongue-strap on him the last day but we left it off today. I'm restricted as to where I can go with him now, there isn't much open to a five-year-old that has won on the flat.
Lad wins race number 10 at Punchestown
That was great - a good performance from him. He (Andrew) said he handles that ground but that he'd be better on softer. He was entitled to win like that on the ratings. He'll go to the North (Down Royal for a Grade 2) now in three weeks time and to Fairyhouse (the Hatton's Grace) after that. The ground out there today was beautiful and fair dues to all involved. We had him schooled over fences and I was afraid he'd jump too big but he didn't. Andrew gave him a very good ride.

I thought the handicapper went to town on her by giving her 16Ibs for Clonmel and I was worried about the ground for her today too. Eddie said it's gone a bit for her so she'll go out in a field now. Tony Holland from Stoneyford owns her and he is a very good owner. He is in business . he has a karting track. I bred this mare myself and I currently have four riding out. I do a bit of pre-training as well.
That was great and I'm delighted with him. He jumped great and Andrew said he'll improve again as he took a little blow turning in. He'll go for the two miler in Cheltenham in November or here on the same day. He'd be a horse that you'd follow good ground with so you'd imagine you'd get that at Cheltenham.
All happy as Rock prevails in Star Chase
That was great, I don't think we'll be going for any more handicaps with him. The Charlie Hall and the Nicholson Chase would be options for him now, we'll see how he comes on from it. His jumping was very good.

Patience pays off with Skeheenarinky
That's my fourth winner on the track and I've had 44 in point-to-points. Sean was hopeful that the first-time blinkers would make a difference to this fellow.

Article does more than just Staying
I'm very pleased. He is from a great family, he is a brother to the horse (Serein) that got disqualified in the bumper at Fairyhouse last Saturday. His dam is out of Michael O'Brien's Triumph Hurdle winner, Shawiya. It is a great Aga Khan family. He had one bit of work and I thought he might come on from this. I'm thrilled as we've been a long time waiting with him. He'll go for a winners race somewhere and we can hope for the moment that he'll be a Cheltenham horse. He could be sold and I just hope I can keep him in the yard.
