- Stewards Report
An enquiry was held to consider the malfunction of the stalls when it was noted that the gates of stall 3 opened as Se You (GB) was standing in the stalls.
The Starter was interviewed and having reviewed the film footage, the Stewards were satisfied that this was the result of a malfunction of the gates and not caused by any unruly behaviour of Se You (GB).
The Starter reported that Somewhat Sisyphean (GB), had been very reluctant to race.
Wilf Storey’s representative and the Starter were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
The trainer’s representative was informed that any future similar behaviour from the gelding may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
