I delayed my trip to Australia (for Tuesday's Melbourne Cup) to ride her and I thought she'd be hard to beat.

The Stewards interviewed Miss E.M. Nagle, rider, who appeared to stop riding before the winning post which may have caused her to loose out on a better placing. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards cautioned the rider concerning her responsibilities to obtain a better placing and advised that she obtain a better level of fitness.
An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven yrs old mares only, that have not won a *race other than one I.N.H. flat race or National Hunt flat race
Weights - 4-y-o 10st 13lb; 5, 6 and 7-y-o 11st 2lb
Penalties - Winner of an I.N.H. Flat Race or a National Hunt flat race 7lb extra
Riders - Qualified under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 28th October) may also ride in this race.
