My Hometown makes all in Risk Of Thunder
He promised so much as a young horse and it's great to see it coming to fruition. The ground is a big factor for him. He's young enough and this is his game. He’s a great jumper. I think Punchestown might suit him better than Cheltenham because he loves jumping the banks.

He's a lovely horse. He's had huge jumps (in the ratings) from the first day he won, and is improving all the time. I didn't think he was a real winter ground horse but Mark said it was a bit firmer where they went past the hurdles on the far side and he was grand after that. We'll go on a bit longer and hopefully there is another big handicap in him.

Neck stays on best to beat Blow By Blow
David rides him well and that's twice he’s come from off the pace as he also won on him at Gowran. I'd imagine we were a little bit fortunate as well. The two Gigginstown horses took each other on early enough and we were lucky to benefit from that, but that happens in races. It just shows the Gigginstown horses are all trying to win which is a compliment to them but ultimately it benefitted me in the end.

Sharjah puts Faugheen to the sword
The other two (Faugheen and Tombstone) took each other on in front and maybe galloped each other into the ground. Paul took advantage of that. He (Sharjah) wants a sharp two miles. He's done a lot for the season and I don't know if I'm going to go on with him now or not. I may give him a little break and come back in the spring but after doing that today it looks like we'll have to go to Christmas with him. We'll see how he is when he comes out of this race. He's had no break between Flat racing and the Galway Hurdle and everything. Paul said he came alive going down the back stretch today, and he thought that far out that he had a great chance of winning. He disappointed in Down Royal the last day but he was taken on in front. Faugheen missed two or three hurdles. I would have expected him to find a bit more but he didn't. The two in front just collapsed. The decision is made to stay hurdling and I think we'll just go out in trip as we had intended. His first run was supposed to be the Hatton's Grace but when Melon didn’t work well enough we put this fella in. We've swapped targets for them.

David Mullins completes 43/1 double on dad's Maid
It’s grand that the ground stayed right for her as I don’t think she’s a heavy ground mare. It was her first handicap so I didn’t mind missing out the hurdles down the back!. Hopefully she’ll keep her form for something around Christmas. She got the trip well and picked up when the other one came at her. I wouldn’t be stuck on three miles and she could be best at around two and a half. I always thought a lot of her, so hopefully she’ll keep improving. She’s well-bred and nice to have her in the yard.

Malone Road too strong for Mt Leinster
Jamie said he'll learn plenty as he was half-green through the race and behind the bridle. He's a horse that does everything easy and probably it's his first time being in around horses. I don't know about you, but I thought it was very impressive. In fairness to Patrick (Mullins) he went a good, honest gallop all the way. I'd say he tried to take the speed out of us but I'm really happy with the way he picked up. That'll be it now until Cheltenham.
