His comments that the gelding had appreciated the better ground, which was officially described as Good, Good to Firm in places on this occasion, having run on Good to Soft ground on its previous start at Worcester over 2 miles 4 furlongs, and had also benefitted from the drop in trip to 2 miles, were noted.
