The Stewards interviewed Miss Niamh Fahey, rider of Jennies Jewel, concerning her use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that she used the whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, cautioned her concerning her future responsibilities in this regard. The Stewards enquired into an incident involving Marchese Marconi, ridden by Miss S. O'Brien, placed fifth, Ted Veale, ridden by Miss M. O'Sullivan, placed third and Jennies Jewel, ridden by Miss Niamh Fahey, placed fourth. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that Miss Fahey was in breach of Rule 214, in that she rode carelessly and having considered her record and lack of experience, suspended her for one race day.
