Permission was given for Prefer The Sister (IRE) to go early to post and for Call Glory (IRE) and Em Jay Kay (GB) to both wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference just after turning in, involving the winner, Em Jay Kay (GB), ridden by Grace McEntee, Beyond Equal (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Rob Hornby and Bibendum (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Doughty.
McEntee was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she allowed her mount to shift left-handed, when insufficiently clear, inconveniencing Beyond Equal (GB) and causing the gelding to make contact with Bibendum (GB), which as a result became unbalanced, and then continued to drift left-handed, taking Bibendum (GB) off its intended line.
Following the race, George Downing reported that Legend Of Leros (IRE), unplaced, was restless in the stalls and Jack Doughty reported that Bibendum (GB), unplaced, ran flat.
