Mr Eireann Cagney the rider of Blue Yonder (FR), drawn 9, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.

After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day on a date to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.

An enquiry was held to consider interference passing 3½ furlongs out involving Uncle Dick (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Mr Jack Nicholls and Flame Of Kodiac (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Miss Amy Tucker.

Being a 7lb claimer Miss Amy Tucker was accompanied in the enquiry by the Trainer of Flame Of Kodiac (IRE).

Miss Tucker was suspended for 5 days for careless riding on dates to be notified to her by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, after allowing her mount to move left-handed to the rail when insufficiently clear of Mr Nicholls, causing Uncle Dick (GB) to be severely checked when tightened for room against the rail.

Approximately a furlong after the start the free running Flame Of Kodiac (IRE), unplaced, had to be checked to avoid the heels of Rose Light (GB), placed third.

However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Approaching the final ½ furlong Dark Company (IRE), unplaced, lugged right-handed clipping the heels of a weakening Lunanera (FR), unplaced.
