Permission was given for Raqisa (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood and to be mounted in the chute.
Having reviewed recordings of the false start, the Starters were satisfied that no riders should be reported for contravening the starting procedures.
An enquiry was held to consider interference entering the bend leaving the backstraight on the final circuit involving Rocket Robbo (GB), which later fell, ridden by Lewis Stones; Bushmill Boy (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Joshua Thompson; Classic Tune (GB), which was pulled up, ridden by Cillin Leonard; Bluebella (GB), unplaced, ridden by Stan Sheppard and Passing Secrets (GB), unplaced, ridden by Mitchell Bastyan.
Sean Bowen and Liam Harrison were also interviewed but found not to be involved.
As a 7lb claimer, Thompson was offered the opportunity to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Thompson was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear causing Bluebella (GB) to become short of room, which in turn caused Passing Secrets (GB) to become short of room and the rider to take a check, which then caused Classic Tune (GB) to be short of room and the rider to take a check.
Sean Bowen, the rider of Lou Trek (FR) fell rounding the bend leaving the back straight on the final circuit.
After viewing a recording of the incident and interviewing the rider, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved, and that the incident was caused by Lou Trek (FR) sustaining an injury independently causing it to fall, which in turn brought down Claras Soldier (IRE), ridden by Liam Harrison.
Following the race Thomas Dowson reported that Doors Breaker (FR),which was pulled up, was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
