The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident turning for home involving Cavallo Pazzo, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed first, and Madakasham Jam, ridden by J.J.G. Ryan, unplaced, where it appeared there was contact between the two. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H. T. Hynes, that C.D. Hayes, rider of Catherine Chroi, had weighed back in at 1.2lbs overweight. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that this was the case and apologised. Having considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that C. D. Hayes was in breach of Rule 231 and having considered his record in this regard the Raceday Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 47-70
