I’ve trained for the Hugheses a long time and Up And At ‘Em won the Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes at Ascot in 1992 for Emmanuel’s mother Annie. We’ve had a lot of success over the years for the family. She was a bit slowly away and I thought we were in trouble but fair play she stuck at it well. She might win another little one if the handicapper isn’t too hard on her. J G Coogan, trainer

The Stewards fined J.G.Coogan, trainer €65 for failing fit the declared visors to Daintree, prior to entering the parade ring

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Pandemic Princess, ridden by S.P. Davis and Daintree, ridden by W. Joyce, where it appeared Pandemic Princess drifted into the racing line of Daintree

Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S.P. Davis stated that his filly went left under pressure. W. Joyce stated that he received a slight bump from Pandemic Princess. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found S.P. Davis in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly and having considered his record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion.

An extended handicap for three years old only (70 = 9st 12lbs)
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 9st 12lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Confined to Riders who have not ridden more than 20 winners under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing from 21st March, 2021 to 31st October, 2021 inclusive
