I'm delighted it's all worked out. It's unreal to ride a winner here and thank you to everyone that made this opportunity happen. Mark gave him a great ride. There was plenty of carnage in behind through the race and we managed to avoid some of the loose horses down the hill. He's very tough and I'm delighted for Ronnie who has supported me well and delighted to have a winner here.

Permission was given for Grand Jury (FR), Chemical Energy (IRE) and Silver Sheen (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
Chemical Energy (IRE) was kicked at the start by another horse, having been check by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.

The riders and the Starters were interviewed, and recordings of the incident were shown.
All Jockeys were suspended for 1 day for misconduct at the Start and Mr Deegan, as an amateur rider, would be notified on which date by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Mr Richard Deegan reported that Adamantly Chosen (IRE), unplaced, ran too freely; The Veterinary Officer reported that Five O'clock (FR), unplaced, had bled from the nose.
