L.T. McAteer, rider of Tony The Gent trained by James McAuley, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got bumped from both sides

D.N. Curran, rider of The Aul Dubliner trained by J.G.Coogan, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered in the straight

M.Halford, trainer of Bright Glory, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge was badly hampered in the closing stages

The Stewards enquired into an incident about one furlong from the finish involving Miracles In May, ridden by A.J. Slattery Never Back Down, ridden by J. Kearney, Bright Glory, ridden by N.G. McCullagh, Tony The Gent, ridden by L.T. McAteer, Jackmel, ridden by R.C. Colgan, Kendred Soul, ridden by D.W. O'Connor, Boasty, ridden by R.P. Cleary and The Aul Dubliner ridden by D.N. Curran where it appeared there was an amount of interference. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence D.N. Curran stated that he had not enough horse to go through a gap and met with interference. R.P. Cleary stated that a gap closed and his mount got tightened. J. Kearney stated that his mount was hanging but he tried to maintain a straight racing line. D.W

O'Connor stated that he was losing ground when receiving pressure from both sides. L.T. McAteer stated that his mount was struggling when getting bumped on both hind quarters. N.G. McCullagh stated that from a strong early pace most of the runners had bunched which contributed to an amount of movement when under pressure and he likewise had received pressure from both sides. R.C. Colgan stated that his mount tired about one furlong out and shifted slightly. A.J. Slattery stated that he was trying to maintain a straight line when receiving contact from his inside. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that any interference which occurred was caused by general bunching and they took no further action. Ms Elaine O'Farrell accompanied J. Kearney at this enquiry.

An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 45-65 that, at entry, HAVE NOT FINISHED FIRST, SECOND OR THIRD ON THEIR LATEST START
Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs
Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
Riders - Confined to Riders who have not ridden more than 20 winners under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing from 21st March, 2021 to 31st October, 2021 inclusive
