she is a lovely filly and Charles and Noel sent her to me as a yearling and she has always been very nice. Her dam won the Prix Vermeille and even though she is by Kodiac, her dam is by Shantou and she appreciated the ten furlongs there. She was just ready to start today and Billy said she came alive in his hands and pricked her ears at the finish. She is a very well bred filly and her owners have a stud farm so we'll see where we go (regarding black-type races).

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Istoria, ridden by G.F. Carroll, and Sandstorm Annie, ridden by C.D. Maxwell, where it appeared Istoria got bumped. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards attributed the incident to accidental interference and took no further action.
