Aidan O'Brien kept the Ballydoyle celebrations going after the shock success of Qualify in the Epsom Oaks when Kingfisher put up an eyecatching show to take the Seamus & Rosemary McGrath Memorial Saval Beg Stakes at Leopardstown.

Last year's Irish Derby runner-up, who is Ascot Gold Cup-bound, was wearing a hood for the first time and went off a 4-1 chance for the Listed contest.

He had plenty to do a furlong and a half out with favourite Panama Hat making the best of his way home, but knuckled down under Donnacha O'Brien and produced a withering surge that took him to the front close home for victory by half a length.< Radanpour maintained his unbeaten record with the third victory of his career in the other Listed race on the card, the King George V Cup, and heads for the Irish Derby.

It was a close-run thing as Dermot Weld's 4-5 favourite, who made all in the hands of Pat Smullen, was assailed down the straight by several challengers and only beat off the dead-heaters Bondi Beach and Morning Mix by half a length.

Mick Halford's juvenile Tonkinese (8-11 favourite) followed up his promising debut third with a professional victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden, leading from the off under Shane Foley and running on strongly to score by three lengths.

Jim Bolger's three-year-old debutant Law Major (8-1) showed a smart turn of foot to quicken clear from the two pole under Kevin Manning before taking the Racecourse Of The Year Maiden by half a length from the fast-finishing favourite Monolight

There was a thrilling climax to the RSM Farrell Grant Sparks Handicap with four horses fighting out the finish until Jimmy Lambe's 11-1 shot Sang Tiger mowed them down with a late flourish under Declan McDonogh to win by three-quarters of a length.< Long Journey Home (7-1) coasted into the lead and strode away to take the William Fry Apprentice Handicap under Connor King, while Pat Smullen doubled up when Beat The Ballot (7-1 co-favourite) led in the final furlong to land the TierOne Handicap.
