< Simply Ned gained a first Grade One victory in the Paddy's Rewards Club Chase, but required the intervention of the Leopardstown stewards.< Min the 2-7 favourite, was allowed to bowl along in a clear lead and still appeared full of running at the last but Simply Ned (16-1), who made the frame in this race for the past three years, was hot on his heels and tried to slip through a gap on the inside.
Min clung on by half a length but significant interference took place and the placings were reversed in favour of Nicky Richards' raider.
Min's trainer Willie Mullins gained some compensation when Whiskey Sour (9-1) took a dramatic Paddy Power Future Champions Novice Hurdle.
Hot favourite Mengli Khan was in the lead when crashing through the wings of the penultimate obstacle, leaving the Mullins pair of Real Steel and Sharjah to take the last locked together in front, only to fall independently.
That left Whiskey Sour with an unassailable advantage and he struck by 19 lengths from Le Richebourg
There was strong market support for his stablemate Mr Adjudicator prior to his jumping bow in the Paddy Power 'Only 363 Days Till Christmas' 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle and he didn't disappoint, with the 5-4 favourite beating Room To Roam by seven and a half lengths.
Mullins completed a treble thanks to Carefully Selected s victory in the Paddy Power Games 'One For The Road' Flat Race.< Trainwreck (4-1) won the Paddy Power 'You Beauty' Handicap Hurdle, while Anibale Fly stamped his class on the Paddy Power Chase.
Tony Martin's 14-1 shot, who was racing off a mark of 148, hit the front on the home turn and Donagh Meyler kept him going to see off Ucello Conti by seven lengths.< Tycoon Prince got off the mark over fences in the Paddy Power Cash Card PPlus Beginners Chase.
Davy Russell was content to look on from towards the rear on the Gordon Elliott-trained 3-1 chance until making his move after the last, leading on the long run-in to dispose of Bunk Off Early by six and a half lengths.
