Review killarney 26th Aug
Barry Geraghty landed the feature Batty O'Sullivan Frayden Haulage Ltd Handicap Hurdle at Killarney on his return from the United States.
The jockey rode Dirar into second place at Saratoga on Thursday for Gordon Elliott and flew back in time to team up with Jessica Harrington in the two-mile-one-furlong contest.
Never far off the lead, The Bull Hayes (5-1) took over from favourite Coscorrig three flights out and was driven clear to beat Life Of Reilly by three and a half lengths.
The victory completed a double for the trainer, whose newcomer Hurricane Ridge went off the 9-4 favourite for the Irish Stallion Farms EBF (C & G) Maiden under Fran Berry.< Fort Sam Houston took it up a quarter of a mile out, but Hurricane Ridge was quickly on the premises and after a brief tussle, the market leader went on to score by three-quarters of a length.< Catch The Eye and Galileo's Choice were among Dermot Weld's amazing tally of winners at the Galway Festival and both followed up in impressive style.< Puttore hit the front inside the final two furlongs of the Seamus Weldon www.mowers.ie Race, but Pat Smullen was stalking the favourite and when he pressed the button Catch The Eye (5-2) quickened past to score by a cosy two lengths.
It was even easier for 4-5 favourite Galileo's Choice in the KWD Recycling (QR) Race as the hurdles winner was sent on a quarter of a mile out by Robbie McNamara and coasted clear to win by three and a half lengths from Luska Lad
John Murphy's Cul A Dun (20-1) bounced back to form in the O'Keeffe O'Shea O'Connor Solicitors Handicap, winning by three lengths eased down in the hands of Leigh Roche to follow up last year's victory in the race.
Danny Grant drove Pat Flynn's Binocular into the lead a furlong out in the Ross Golf Club/Killarney Racegoers Club Handicap and the 5-1 shot held Mutiska by a short head.
