< Fresh By Nature banished a Wexford fall to the memory with success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Beginners Chase at Kilbeggan.
A dual winner over timber, Jessie Harrington's 9-4 favourite showed no ill effects from that fencing debut mishap, although she had three rivals for company jumping two out, with Twenty Four Years just behind and closing.
She displayed a good attitude for Mark Bolger, though, and stuck to her task well to score by three-quarters of a length.< Gold Tantrum (8-1) could still be ahead of the assessor judging by her victory in the Pieta House Darkness Into Light 5k Walk/Run Handicap Hurdle.
Seamus Fahey's mare waited until her 35th appearance to break her duck at Tramore a couple of weeks ago but it has clearly done her confidence the world of good because she travelled supremely well for Pierce Gallagher, hitting the front two out en route to a two-length defeat of Do Try Dolly Illtakeitfromhere unshipped Luke Dempsey over fences at Tramore but they were reunited in the Follow Kilbeggan On Facebook Maiden Hurdle and the decision to switch to the smaller obstacles paid dividends.
The 11-4 chance jumped the last in front with Dontbackme hot on his heels, and he found plenty for Dempsey to score by a length and a half.
Dempsey was an early casualty from market leader Mystic Princess in the Follow Kilbeggan On Twitter Maiden Hurdle, which went the way of 5-1 shot Fiosrach
The Greville Arms Hotel Handicap Hurdle didn't look like it would take a lot of winning but Luckynumberslevin (8-1) must be applauded for the way she made every post a winning one in the hands of Roger Loughran.< Ravished (11-4) struck for Gigginstown House Stud in the Sean Hughes Memorial Mullingar Park Hotel Handicap Chase, but Attribution couldn't follow up for them in the Loughnagore INH Flat Race and had to play second fiddle to Kilkishen (14-1).
