"She seems to be improving. She's a pleasure to train and loves what she does," said Oliver.

"She jumped and got into a nice rhythm. Kieran said she was hard on the steel the whole way.

"She's in at the Curragh and does rather well when turning out again quickly, although it's more difficult against older horses."

Dermot Weld's Force Of Habit foiled a gamble on fellow 7-2 joint favourite Born To Excel to come out the narrow victor in the 20% On Line Ticket Discount Handicap.

Joseph O'Brien had Born To Excel in the right position throughout, but Pat Smullen had enough up his sleeve to edge it by a neck close home.

Weld said: "It was a positive ride from Pat and a battling performance. It was touch and go all the way in the last furlong and he put his head in front at the right time.

"They didn't go a great gallop and he had a lovely position."< Cat Fire (2-1) came out best in a real tussle through the final furlong to edge Joe Eile in a battle of the newcomers in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Stakes.
