Review fairyhouse 22nd Jan
Willie Mullins dominated the Fairyhouse meeting with a four-timer highlighted by the success of Blazing Tempo in the feature Normans Grove Chase.
Ruby Walsh, who partnered three of the winners, played his hand late on the mare and she travelled sweetly into contention coming down the straight in the Grade Two contest, where Tranquil Sea was leading.
Blazing Tempo (9-4) hit the front approaching the final fence and held a narrow advantage over Noble Prince before running on well to keep the favourite at bay by three-quarters of a length.
Mullins, who landed a treble at Naas on Saturday, also scored with Ceol Rua in the Listed Easter 8th-10th April Mares Novice Hurdle.
Walsh cruised into the lead on the 6-4 favourite approaching the final flight, but then had to pull out the stops to score by half a length as Shadow Eile put in a strong challenge.
The Mullins duo Vesper Bell and Lord Gale dominated the betting for the 45 Euro Bobbyjo Restaurant Package Maiden Hurdle and it was the former (8-11 favourite) who was driven out by Walsh to win by nine lengths from outsider Griesenau
The trainer's great afternoon was completed when son Patrick led all the way on Champagne Fever (1-4 favourite) in the bumper to win very easily by 13 lengths.
Grade One-winning hurdler Shot From The Hip got off the mark over fences when landing the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase.
Mark Walsh always looked to be going slightly best on Edward O'Grady's charge (4-5 favourite), but he had to work hard to overhaul the gutsy Ninetieth Minute by half a length.
Favourite Table Mountain eased to the front going like a winner in the Costa Coffee Dock Handicap Hurdle, but Bryan Cooper delivered Caheronaun (8-1) approaching the final flight and Dessie Hughes's charge swept past to score by three lengths.
Seamus Fahey's Caolaneoin (11-8 favourite) cleared away to win the Fairyhouse Schooling Races Maiden Hurdle by three and three-quarter lengths under Paul Townend.
