< Un De Sceaux got his fencing career back on track with a brilliant performance in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase at Fairyhouse on a day when Willie Mullins sent out four winners.
The six-year-old lost his career unbeaten record when falling on his debut over the bigger obstacles at Thurles last month, but he was sent off the 1-5 favourite to put the record straight and set off in front under Ruby Walsh.< Smashing was the only horse to keep him within sight from a long way out but he was always fighting a losing battle and Un De Sceaux's jumping was quick and accurate as he put in an impressive round to score by 12 lengths.
Mullins and Walsh soon put a second winner on the board when another French import, Val De Ferbet made a convincing debut over fences in the Promote Your Business At Fairyhouse In 2015 Beginners Chase.
The five-year-old (3-1) was always prominent and took a clear lead two out, where closest pursuer Thunder And Roses came down, leaving the way open for a three-and-a-quarter-length victory over favourite Noble Emperor
The hat-trick came up for the champion trainer and his jockey when 2-5 favourite Arbre De Vie making his Irish debut after three runs in France, led at the third-last and came away to score by eight lengths in the Fairyhouse Membership 2015 Maiden Hurdle.
Mullins completed a four-timer when expensive purchase Stone Hard (4-7 favourite) took charge going to the final furlong in the concluding bumper and powered clear to win by three and three-quarter lengths in the hands of the trainer's son Patrick.
