< Banna Boirche (9-2) finally broke his turf duck in the Fairyhouse Sunday Market Race at the County Meath venue.
Mick Halford's seven-year-old has eight all-weather wins under his belt and was second in this event 12 months ago, and was bounced out into a prominent position by Shane Foley.
He stole a march on his rivals turning for home and ran right the way to the line to cross it with two lengths in hand of Royal Blue Star < Exogenesis made significant improvement from his ordinary debut to register a comprehensive success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden.
Ger Lyons' youngster failed to beat a single rival home at Leopardstown but he's been gelded since then and was sent off the 3-1 joint-favourite in this lesser event.
He was settled nearer last than first by Gary Carroll but showed a neat change of gear when straightened up and mowed down Focussed before staying on strongly to pass the post three and a quarter lengths in front of the newcomer Pillow
Carroll followed up when Jumbo Steps (9-1) gave rookie trainer Johnny Levins his first winner in the Follow Fairyhouse On Twitter Handicap.
Kevin Manning is set to be reunited with Dawn Approach at Royal Ascot next week and found himself in the winner's enclosure after C'Est Ma Souer proved too strong in the Motor Neurone Fun Run At Fairyhouse On 29th June Handicap.
The 12-1 chance was fourth to Paynes Find on her comeback here last week and reversed that form, holding the late thrust of Paynes Find by three-quarters of a length after setting sail for home two furlongs out.< Melanippe broke through on quick ground at Tramore at the start of the month and the rain that fell during this meeting didn't stop her from repeating the dose in the Ratoath Handicap.
