John Kiely was at Cheltenham to see stable stalwart Carlingford Lough finish an honourable fourth in the Gold Cup and another of his grand servants, Ancient Sands did the stable proud by scoring at Dundalk.
The 13-8 favourite made the running in the Titanbet.co.uk Rated Race under Pat Smullen, but all five runners were separated by less than a length as they flashed past the furlong marker.

Trained by Charles O'Brien, whose mother Jacqueline passed away earlier in the week, the 11-4 favourite looked a sitting duck in the straight but Fran Berry kept something up his sleeve and his mount kept going to see off Mr Right by a length.
O'Brien and Berry supplemented that success when Drillmaster reeled in Ineffable in the shadows of the post in the Download The Titanbet Sports App Handicap, scoring by a head as the 15-8 favourite.< Coreczka (7-1) came down the centre of the track to take top honours in the Titanbet.co.uk Handicap.
Heading into the mile event, the five-year-old mare had just one previous win from 15 starts but showed a pleasing attitude for Tom Madden to keep Bridle Path a length and a half at bay.< Power Grid surged in the dying strides to deny Haqueeba in the Big Bad Bob Claiming Maiden.
On his second start for Johnny Feame, the 9-4 chance still had a couple of rivals ahead of him entering the final furlong but Gary Halpin threw everything at him and he pipped by Haqeeba by a head.< Rateel (6-1) hadn't shown much since joining Johnny Levins but put his best foot forward to repel odds-on favourite Tom Dooley in the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap.
