< Giovanni Boldini brought smart form into the feature Irish Stallion Farms EBF Star Appeal Stakes at Dundalk and Aidan O'Brien's colt disposed of his rivals without being asked a serious question.

Third behind Toormore in the Group One National Stakes at the Curragh last month, the son of War Front was sent off the 1-2 favourite on his drop down to Listed company and was settled in third by Seamie Heffernan.

Eased up to join the leaders approaching the final furlong, Giovanni Boldini quickened away when required and had four and three-quarter lengths to spare over Mandatario at the line, never having given supporters a moment's worry.< Harmonic Note (9-2) set out to make all in the hands of Colin Keane in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies & Mares Race and Ger Lyons' three-year-old was not for catching in the straight, pulling clear to beat Tobann by three and a half lengths.

The latter, trained by Jim Bolger, had much the best form going into the contest and went off the 1-2 favourite, but she didn't find enough when produced from the rear and never looked like winning.

Two newcomers fought out the finish of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Maiden and it was Mick Halford's Pit Stop (9-1) who prevailed over Magnolia Beach by three-quarters of a length under Conor Hoban after hitting the front just inside the final furlong.

Hot favourite High Net Worth led coming down the straight in the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Championship Maiden, but had no answer when Kevin Manning waltzed past on Jim Bolger's 10-1 shot Edge Of Sanity who went three and a half lengths clear.

Bill Farrell's top-weight At Boolavogue (8-1) looked sure to be swallowed up after taking them along in the Dundalk Stadium On Facebook Handicap, but responded bravely to Billy Lee 's urgings and held on to win by a length.
