< Celebrity Sevi landed the feature Carlingford Stakes at Dundalk for the Dermot Weld yard in a thrilling finish.

Sent off the 11-4 favourite in the absence of Bob Le Beau, the three-year-old was settled in third place by Pat Smullen as Priomhbhean built up a 10-length lead in the extended mile-and-a-quarter Listed contest.

Celebrity Sevi hit the front two furlongs out and after beating off Super Say and several other challengers, ran on strongly to hold the renewed effort of Priomhbhean by half a length.< Hot Bed let down favourite backers when well beaten at Roscommon last time but erased the memory with an emphatic victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

David Wachman's youngster (16-1), in the colours of Sir Robert Ogden, challenged down the outside and stretched a length and a half clear despite giving Seamie Heffernan a tricky time by edging left.< Banner Road refused to go into the stalls when well-backed at the track in October and there was again plenty of money for her on her handicap debut in the www.dundalkstadium.com Nursery. This time, she obliged.

Eddie Lynam's juvenile (2-1 favourite) made her challenge down the outside from a poor draw and led a furlong out before being driven clear by Pat Shanahan to score by a length and a half.< Ashton Rose (11-4 favourite) put up a gallant performance to defy top-weight in the Follow Dundalk On Facebook Handicap, completing a hat-trick in the process.

Danny Benson always had the Tracey Collins-trained filly in the front rank and though she looked a sitting duck as she was attacked coming down the straight, she stuck on well to hold Trotting Weasel by a neck.

Mick Halford's gelding If Per Chance (9-2) has been slipping down the ratings and got his head in front under Shane Foley in the [email protected] Apprentice Handicap.
