< Midas Touch could take a step up in class after he lost his maiden tag with a stylish success at the Curragh.
Sent off a 4-11 favourite for the TRI Equestrian Maiden, he took it up a furlong out for jockey Johnny Murtagh and breezed home by seven lengths from Legendary Lad
Trainer Aidan O'Brien is now eyeing a possible Listed date at Leopardstown on November 1 for his twice-raced son of Galileo.
"We're delighted with that performance. He had a lovely run first time out at Gowran Park," said O'Brien.
"Johnny was very happy with him today and he got beaten by a very nice horse last time out. He went to the line very well today.
"He will probably have another run this season, he will either run in the Eyrefield Stakes or we'll bring him to France."
Midas Touch could clash with Emulous (10-1) at Leopardstown after she made a winning debut with a length verdict over favourite Dance Hall Girl in the TRM Fillies Maiden.
"She will probably run again this year in the Eyrefield Stakes," said trainer Dermot Weld.
"I think she will make a lovely stakes filly for next year."
Christy Roche notched his first juvenile victory as Lil Ella (10-1) ran out a two-length winner of the TRI Equestrian Cafe Nursery Handicap for the predominately jumps trainer.
He said: "This is the only two year old I've ever trained and she cost me & euro;1,000. She has never run a bad race and she always runs very well."< Crystal Idea could make a swift reappearance after she justified 5-4 favouritism in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies Maiden under Keagan Latham.
Trainer Willie McCreery said: "She deserved that. We might enter her for the Listed race at Naas on Sunday depending on how she comes out of the race."
