Review clonmel 7th May
< Slievecorragh went into the Kedrah House 'Well Chosen' Tipperary Cup something of an unknown quantity but saw out the extended two-mile trip in great fashion to claim the & euro;15,000 handicap at Clonmel.
Billy Lee was travelling strongly a couple of furlongs out on Francis Flood's five-year-old (20-1) and pulled clear of the veteran Kerryhead Windfarm who had been handy throughout, to score by five lengths.
The Tony Martin-trained 6-4 favourite Equator was disappointing, and after dropping away from the three-furlong marker he was eventually pulled up .
The winning trainer's son, Fran Flood jnr, said afterwards: "He had been running well on the Flat and I thought he'd a fair shot here. It's good to get a winner and we'll keep him going on the Flat and over hurdles as long as there's a dig in the ground. He's big enough to jump a fence, too."< Suprise Vendor lived up to his name when springing a 20-1 shock in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
The race appeared to be going to plan for 11-8 favourite Carefree Smile as he cruised to the front but he found little and finished out of the frame.
Lesley Young's three-year-old came home strongly under Franco Da Silva to beat 33-1 chance Spinning Wings
Young said: "She has been working well at home, she has probably improved from two to three. Franco used ride her as a two-year-old for us. The plan was to go to Gowran Park next week but we'll have to see now."< American Princess stepped up on her seasonal debut third to take the New Club Stand Opening This Evening Handicap.
Danny Mullins had the Michael Grassick-trained 8-1 chance up with the pace throughout and put the race to bed two furlongs out, scooting into a three-length lead hanging on with three-quarters of a length to spare over Vicky Lane
The Summer Evening June 12th Handicap Chase went the way of 14-1 chance Tiarella with trainer Denis Ahern saying: "She has been a good servant to us, she's got black type after winning a race here two years ago.
"She hasn't been herself lately but she seems to
