< Maudlin Magdalen was a popular winner of the Hibernia Steel Products Handicap, the feature event at Bellewstown on Friday evening.
Trained locally by Donal Kinsella, the five-year-old mare was sent off 11-4 to record a second course success and sat close to early leader Ruler Of France

Ronan Whealan's mount was the most experienced in the line-up and it showed as dug deep to see off the sustained challenges of Nova and runner-up Sikandar to prevail by half a length.< Cheers Buddy (10-1) stormed home down the outside to land the Golden Nugget Casino Handicap by two and a half lengths from Three Belts, while Dermot Weld's Hisaabaat (9-4) returned to
