Review ballinrobe 23rd Aug
< Realt Mor (5-1) recaptured some of his old sparkle to land the Sheridan Agri Contractors Chase at Ballinrobe.
The Gordon Elliott-trained veteran hadn't managed to get his head in front since lifting the 2013 Powers Gold Cup but travelled well in third until moving forward two out.
Once hitting the front, he had Usa to contend with and they were split by the width of the track, but Jack Kennedy kept Realt Mor going to triumph by a length.
That completed a double for Kennedy, initiated by Lisa's Legacy in the David Heneghan Memorial Handicap Hurdle.
The 6-1 chance performed with credit on the level twice at the Galway Festival and proved he is comparatively well treated in this sphere by quickening impressively to go six lengths clear of Indian Rupee
Ruby Walsh was an eyecatching booking for Head Turner in the Ballinrobe Race Committee Mares Handicap Hurdle and those who took the hint were rewarded.
Walsh was patient on the 9-2 shot but produced Pat Fahy's charge at the final obstacle and she raced away to cross the line with four lengths in hand of Hurry Kitty < Highway Royal showed excellent resolution to come out on top in the Martinstown Opportunity Maiden Hurdle.
Having made the running, the 10-1 chance was joined by Is She Diesel and Creative Talent at the last, only to find more for Conor Brassil and go clear again for a two-length verdict.< Blackthorn Prince was a promising recruit from the point-to-point field at one time and has never really put it together, but he showed there is an engine there by justifying 3-1 favouritism under the steadier of 11st 10lb in the Corrib Oil Handicap Hurdle.
Things got a bit tight two out in the Donal Downes Handicap Chase but Eiri Na Casca (14-1) recovered from the scrimmaging and beat Curragh Golan with handler Denis Hogan also doing the steering.
