Weseekhimhere completed a first and last race double for Gordon Elliott, as he took the concluding Tote Supporting Irish Racing Since 1930 INH Flat Race.

Sent off favourite on debut at Roscommon earlier this month, the son of Elusive Pimpernel lost his chance there when squeezed for room and hampered over two furlongs from home.

Returned an easy to back 12/1 chance this evening, the bay gelding was settled behind the leaders on the inner by Jamie Codd, taking closer order with seven furlongs left to race.

In front from the two furlong pole, Weseekhimhere soon extended his advantage, going on to score easily by eleven lengths.

Newcomer Mighty Meggsie (12/1) kept on nicely to take second under Finian Maguire for Jessica Harrington, while The Banger Doyle (33s in early shows, returned 16s) was another five and a half lengths back in third.

The Willie Mullins trained Zuma Rock was sent off the 4/6 favourite and she finished a disappointing seventh.

Gordon Elliott, who took the opener with The Very Man said afterwards: "I liked him going to Roscommon and it was unfortunate what happened there (badly hampered in-running).

"He did that very impressively and could go jumping later in the season. It's great for John (Doyle) and Caren (Walsh) who are great supporters of the yard."

STEWARDS REPORTS

At the request of the Stewards, Mr J. Dunne, rider of Bright Lad trained by F.Costello, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount stumbled independently and unseated him.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Zuma Rock, trained by W.P. Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
