Warwick Avenue provided Camelot's trainer Aidan O'Brien with his first winner of Derby weekend with a front-running success in the concluding Irish Times Maiden at The Curragh this evening.
Ridden by the trainer's son Joseph O'Brien, the son of Montjeu made all and stayed on strongly in the straight to comfortably defeat Brinestine
Afterwards O'Brien Snr, probably with his thoughts very much on whether to run Camelot in tomorrow's Irish Derby due to the threat of more rain, stated “Warwick Avenue did that nicely.
“He had a good run the last day and is progressing.”
