Ruby Walsh recorded a quick double when winning The Donlon Development Ltd Maiden Hurdle aboard Vital Plot trained by Dermot Weld for owners S.Weld, Austin Fanning, Thomas Dixon and Thomas Hughes.

Travelling head lad to Weld Paddy 'Whacker' O'Brien said afterwards, 'On his last two outings he unseated his rider at Cork and then jumped poorly on latest appearance at Cork. He was wearing blinkers today which made a big difference and the easyfix hurdles suited him and he jumped great for Ruby.'

The first leg of Ruby's double was in the previous race aboard Garrai Ard for trainer Dusty Sheehy.
