Volez Vous followed up a course win last month when again successfully partnered by Ben Kennedy to land division one of the Glenary Handicap Hurdle at Clonmel.

The Daryl Deacon-trained mare jumped to the front at the penultimate hurdle and while far from fluent at the last, kept on well on the run-in to land the spoils.

The easy-to-back 9/2 shot had a length and a quarter to spare over 7/2 favourite Beeverstown Place with Silent Dawn a further four and a half lengths away in third.

The daughter of Yeats won last month off a rating of just 72 and was racing here off just a 7lb higher mark.

Deacon said, “Ben rode her brilliantly and she jumped great. She is improving and as I had said, the Yeats' take that extra bit of time.

"The recent dropping of the ratings (by the IHRB) below 80 helped her."
