Tom Dooley made it two from thirty two when popping up at odds of 20/1 under Mick Hussey (replacing Conor Hoban who is unwell) in the second at Dundalk, the Ladbrokes Handicap.

A few of the fourteen participants shaped like possible winners in this seven furlong event, but Tom Dooley came home strongest from towards the rear, to beat the well-backed Shabra Emperor by three parts of a length.

Trainer Mick Mulvany said of his father Larry's, Gowran winner from last summer too-under similar tactics-"We've had an argument over how to ride him. I got my way tonight and we held him up. The change of tactics worked."
