The following are the reports from the Turf Club Stewards' Room for today's meeting at Punchestown:
The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:
A.E. Lynch rode Theleze (FR) (reserve) , trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 5)
Mr. P.W. Mullins replaced Ms K. Walsh on Most Peculiar trained by W.P. Mullins (Race 8)(Stewards' Permission)
092A Colm Murray Memorial H'cap H'dle
The Stewards interviewed K.M. Smith, rider of Green Energy (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found K.M. Smith in breach of Reg. 10 3.(b) by continuing his whip use after his chance was clearly gone and Reg. 10 3. (g) with the arm above shoulder height and 10 3. (g) with excessive force and having taken his record into account suspended him for four race days and referred him to RACE for one day's instruction.
092B Three.ie H'cap S'chase
A. Ring, rider of Decade Player trained by P.J. Rothwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount ran too free early and pulled up.
092E Naas Court & Il Fico Restaurant Hcap Hdl
B.J. Geraghty, rider of Our Man Zebo trained by Michael Hourigan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount made a respiratory noise in-running and pulled up.
The Stewards interviewed M.P. Walsh, rider of Off The Charts concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found M.P. Walsh in breach of Reg. 10 3. by using his whip with excessive frequency and having taken his good record into account the Stewards cautioned him regarding his future responsibilities in this regard.
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Our Man Zebo, trained by Michael Hourigan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be coughing post race.
D.E. Mullins, rider of Inis Meain (USA), trained by Denis Gerard Hogan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount never travelled.
