After impressing on his debut over flights at Gowran earlier this month, Blood Crazed Tiger followed-up in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle.

The Gordon Elliott trained five-year-old opened on-course at evens this afternoon, but that price was quickly snapped up, and he eventually went off the clear favourite at 8/11.

Sent straight to the front by David Mullins, he held a clear advantage for much of the contest. He wasn't fluent six out, and his advantage was greatly reduced from the fourth last. Oathkeeper came with his challenge on the run to the next, but the winning son of King's Theatre went on again before the last, keeping on well under pressure close home, prevailing by two lengths.

The aforementioned Oathkeeper had to settle for second under Mark Walsh for Joseph O'Brien at 2/1, while Polar Present was ran well to take third, another half a length back.

Gordon Elliott said afterwards: "Two and a half miles could be his trip and going faster would suit him better. He dropped him in at Gowran but today was a cat-and-mouse race.

"He's a chaser in the making and I'll probably drop him back to 2m 4f next time."
