Fresh from his wins over the course and distance last Saturday and at Sligo on Tuesday, Bubbly Bellini made it three in-a-row as he took the Ballyduane Stud Handicap for his trainer Adrian McGuinness with Ian Brennan in the saddle.
The 5yo son of Mull Of Kintyre was sent to post the 9/4 favourite this evening and he yet again duly obliged.
He was held up in the early stages before he closed on the leaders from two furlongs out when travelling well. He hit the front under a furlong from home and went on from there to record an easy two length success. Love Is The Key kept on to take second at 11/2 for Michael Mulvany and Gary Carroll while Landsdowne was a further short head back in third at 9/2 for Treacy Collins with Michael Hussey in the saddle.
Winning trainer Adrian McGuinness said afterwards: "I thought the handicapper would stop him today but he is never too far wrong.
"He is in super form and Ian said after Sligo that he won quite easily. He is improving. He has a cut on his hind leg but hopefully he will be able to run in the Scurry Handicap at the Curragh next weekend."
