Theonewedreamof justified her position at the top of the market, as she saw off 15 rivals in the Baileys Hotel Cashel Beginners Chase.

A versatile performer, the Gavin Cromwell-trained five-year-old finished third on her debut over fences at Kilbeggan in May and was well-fancied to go a few places better this afternoon, returned the 16/5 favourite.

Settled behind the leaders by Keith Donoghue, the market leader wasn't fluent five out but recovered quickly and improved into a share of the lead approaching the straight.

Gaining a narrow advantage from two out, the bay victor kept on well when ridden away from the last and was a length-and-a-quarter to the good at the line.

While disputing the lead entering the straight, Winding River (15/2) wasn't fluent at the last two and eventually had to settle for second under Phillip Enright for Oliver McKiernan.

There was another two-and-a-quarter lengths back to Our Bobby (6/1) in third.

"She learned plenty from the last day. She jumped well and it was straight forward enough," Donoghue said of the Golfcrest Syndicate-owned victor.

"She jumped a few slow early the last day and when she warmed into it, she stayed on well. That stood to her, and she was able to jump a lot better today.

"Hopefully she'll get a nice mark and she can go into those mares' chases."

STEWARDS REPORTS

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Gerard Keane, trainer of Howaya C D And E concerning the conduct of this horse who refused to jump the second fence. Evidence was heard from Mr. Keane, who stated that his charge is a quirky mare however, she usually runs genuine when she starts. Having considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards used their powers under Rule 14 to suspend Howaya C D and E for 45 days.
