Tellmesomethinggirl made virtually all to take the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Hurdle at Listowel in the hands of Robbie Power.
The five-year-old daughter of Stowaway dictated throughout but was pressed and headed by Darrens Hope on the run to the third last.
Darrens Hope couldn't keep the gallop up approaching the straight, though, and came off the bridle as Tellmesomethinggirl eased back in front.
The leader fiddled the second last and Darrens Hope got her second wind in pursuit of her.
A good jump at the last sealed the deal for the 8/11 favourite who kept on to prevail by two and a quarter lengths from the 16/5 runner-up.
Henry de Bromhead said: "She did it the hard way and the mare in second is a decent mare and we were giving her 10lbs. I thought we had shaken her off until she came back at us again, so I'm delighted and she has done nothing wrong through the summer.
"I'll discuss it with the owner but we might give her a little break now; she'll go on soft but we ran her on winter ground at Clonmel last January and she couldn't walk on it. She loved summer soft at Bellewstown.
"She is adaptable and could go further but today's trip (2m4f) is getting closer to her ideal trip."
Power was on board as Rachael Blackmore was serving a suspension.
Tellmesomethinggirl is now three from her last four.
